Noticing a sustained decline in fishing catch rates, ocean lover Sue brought together representatives of the sport fishing industry, including boat captains, tackle shops, fishing associations, anglers, members of academia and government agencies to work on an initiative to promote sustainable fishing practices in Singapore to form Marine Stewards.

To promote a healthy fishing culture in Singapore through sustainable fishing guidelines, education and outreach
